Oh my gosh guys!  It has been forever since I have posted!  I am ashamed of myself...  However, if you have read my latest excerpt, you may understand why.  I have made some big changes to my book!  I have even made more edits to the prologue since I posted yesterday!  Now I have to get you caught up on my adventures!  Lets see...  I know!  Currently I am reading books by the great Catherine Fisher and let me tell you, I am hooked!  They are amazing.  I started reading her books by reading Incarceron, quickly followed by the Obsidian Mirror.  I still have not picked up Sappique (the second book in Incarceron), but I have gotten The Slanted Worlds (the second book in the Obsidian Mirror).  I started reading it two nights ago, and I am falling in love with the plot all over again!  When I was at the library early this month, is when I got it.  There is actually a funny story to that...  I was picking out books that sounded good, and I normally do not look at the authors.  I am picking out some books, and when I am in the car, I notice that 4 out of 6 of them were by Catherine Fisher.  Of course I knew that The Slanted Worlds was by Catherine Fisher, but I had no idea that the Relic Master books were also by her!  After finding that out I just had to read them, and let me say they are awesome!  I have only read three of them, but I am in love with all of her characters.   I am caught up in the wonderful books of Catherine Fisher, but I did love some more books so far this summer!  The Cadet of Tildor by Alex Lidell is A- MAZ- ING!  It took me a while to get into the book, but once I finished the first couple chapters I was officially hooked.  I am now anxiously awaiting book 2!  Thank you Alex Lidell for such an amazing book.  I have read more, but these have been the standouts.  It would also take forever to tell you about all the books I have read this summer!  Those are the books I have been enjoying, so let me know if you guys have read any of these in the comments below!  I love to hear from you guys :)

Last time we left off at talking about my poems and the last one is " Poison- Tester."

 " Poison- Tester" :

" Poison- Tester" is about a person who comes along and says how there could be poison in this kids food.  The person ends up eating every last bite and the person who had the lunch gets nothing.

It's a really cute poem and I like performing it.  I have already been to the meet I was talking about later and I ended up getting 5th place.  I got to finals and that makes me happy.  I wasn't surprised to see one kid in finals.  This kid won last time and he was insanely amazing.  I believe he did better at the last meet, but that could be because it was my first time seeing him do it.  On the same hand, his poem was called "Stand back" said the Elephant "I'm going to sneeze".  Do you want to hear what it's about?

"Stand back" said the elephant "I'm going to sneeze" :

This poem is about an elephant saying he's going to sneeze and all the animals around him try to talk him out of it, because last time he sneezed it caused so much trouble.  The end has a nice funny surprise.

This is what the poem's like.  I think the kid performing this piece was like amazing!  He had like twenty different voices; he had one voice for each animal!  I especially like the part where the parrots are complaining about how the elephants about to sneeze and the kid would squawk after so many words.  As well, I also liked the part where he's the bees complaining and he would go zzz after every s.  Overall I wasn't surprised when he won again.  At the meet before last I ended up getting fourth place; I got in the newspaper!  It was very fun.  Enough about poetry, do you want to hear about impromptu?  In impromptu I didn't make it to finals, but I did win my first round.  In this round I got eavesdropping as my prompt.  I had 15 minutes to prepare a speech.  Well I don't like to actually write a whole speech; instead I just jot down ideas.  My ideas included good and bad facts.  Like for the good side I said how you can find some things about maybe a surprise party when you weren't going to have a party that year.  That would make you feel really happy!  I also said stuff about presents as well.  However, I was mostly leaning towards he bad side of eavesdropping.  For example, what if you were listening to your parents talking to each other without you knowing, because they didn't want you to get hurt.  What if you found out the reason they didn't want to hear was because it was something even they didn't want to hear.  What if you heard your mom burst out in tears and your turning away thinking it's something you really DON'T want to hear, but your ears catch that your grandfather had passed away?  You would be glum; you would have rather waited to hear this information.  You would have wanted to hear it through a nice it's OK voice, not a voice knowing that you already know.   These are some of the things I talked about.  I'll tell you about my second round later, got to go!

Where we left off last time was me speaking about The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games:

The Hunger Games is about the world after a war.  The Capitol thinks they made it better by holding an annual Hunger Games, but it just makes the Districts hate them.  The Hunger Games is where 24 kids go into  an arena and try to kill each other until there's only one person left.  This person gets many luxuries.  Katniss Everdeen is the main character of this book.  Her sister gets chosen to go to the Hunger Games.  Out of complete shock she volunteers to take Prim's spot.  The rest is things is a bunch of disasters.

It's amazing!  You should read if you haven't already.  Right now I'm just chillin.  Excited for tomorrow!  Tomorrow is my second speech meet of the year.  Speech is series of events where you tell a story of some sort.  My events are poetry and impromptu.  Poetry is well, poetry!  I'm doing three pieces called " Bad Cold", " Sick", and " Poison- Tester."  " Bad Cold" is about a speaker who had the worst cold EVER!  At the end the speaker sneezes the cold away.  " Sick" is about Peggy Ann Mckay and her list of sicknesses she tells her mother she has.  I will tell you about the last poem later.

It's out!  Perfect Scoundrels is out!  I'm so excited, but I'm also sad.  I'm waiting for Barnes and Nobles to come out with the E-book version, but I might have to wait a while.  Amazon already has it, but it's $7!  I have $6 in gift cards; I was so close to having enough money.  In Barnes and Nobles I have $20 in gift cards.  It'll probably be enough.  Now last time I posted I was going to tell you about I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You, but then I had to leave.  Well, three days ago I was about to post when all my work on that day's post was gone!  Just deleted gone!  Now I guess I'll leave off from where I started and earlier finished.
I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You:
I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You is about a girl named Cameron (Cammie) Morgan who is really a spy at a spy school for girls.  This school is called Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Woman.  She goes on a mission and meets a boy and they may or may not end up becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.  Cammie sneaks out of her school during the night through secret passageways.  Is this couple meant to be or meant to forget?
It doesn't sound as awesome as it is by my summary, but I did my best.  Now Perfect Scoundrels is out and earlier on before it was out I found a book that was released on like the first of February!  I read it that day it was amazing.  Do you know what this book is called?  ... Double Crossed: A Spies and Thieves Story.
Double Crossed: A Spies and Thieves Story:
Double Crossed: A Spies and Thieves Story is about a character from the Gallagher Girls and a character from Heist Society.  These characters are none other then Macey McHenry and W. W. Hale V.  What happens when these two are paired.  Well they happen to be there together at the right time, because we may have some party wreckers...
Sounds like amazing right?  I'd recommend reading all the books in Gallagher Girls and Heist Society first.  Did you know she wrote another series other then the ones I've already read?  Yeah, she did!  The series is called Cheating at Solitaire.  Now what else is floating about the air?  Oh, I know!  The new movie Catching Fire.  Are you anticipating it?  I know I am.  I've already found a poster for the movie!  They're just trying to get you really, really excited.  I don't even know why I'm so excited for this movie.  The last one was really quite terrible; the movie went by quickly and they left out so many things.  Have you read The Hunger Games?  The books are really good.  Maybe I'll give you a summary on this book too!  Sadly, it will have to wait for another day.  Have to go; bye!

I'm finding myself anticipating the arrival of Ally Carters latest book "Perfect Scoundrels".  It's coming out February 5th.  The second it's out I'm going to order it, I'm so excited!  Am I talking on a subject you know nothing about?  Okay the book Perfect Scoundrels is part of the Heist Society series.  It's great!  I think it's a must read.  The heist society series has only 3 books so far (Including the not yet out, Perfect Scoundrels.).  I don't know how many there will be, but I know I'll love each and every one of them!  Ally Carter's other popular book is the series called Gallagher Girls.  Another must read.  In Gallagher Girls there are five published books and one being written.  There are going to be six, I believe.  Back to Heist Society.  One thing that is making me really antsy is the possibility of a Heist Society movie!  I think that would make things super awesome!  Now I'm blabbing on about how awesome this book is and you probably have no idea what the book's about, so I guess I'll tell you.

Heist Society was published February 9, 2010 (February 9th, that's four days after Perfect Scoundrels will be released!).  Fans of Ally Carter got a preview of the cover on October 21, 2009.  The story is about Katarina Bishop, friends call her Kat, who lives in a thief family.  She's trying to get away from her family business Kat goes to a boarding school.  Then three months after her friend WWW Hale gets her expelled.  He had a good cause though.  Katarina's father is the prime suspect of stealing 5 paintings from the menacing Arturo Taccone.  Kat goes on many schemes to get these paintings back and reveal the true thief.

Doesn't it sound great!  Heist Society is a great book.  Ally Carter has released nine books and on February 5th, ten!  Ally Carter is one of my favorite authors.  Here's a list of my favorite authors.

Favorite Authors:

1.  J. K. Rowling

2.  Suzanne Collins

3.  Holly Webb

4.  Terry Goodkind

5.  Daisy Meadows

6.  Emily Rodda

7.  Ally Carter

8.  Jeff Kinney

9.  Ben M. Baglio

10.  Laurie Halse Anderson

These authors are mostly magic book writers and some (Like Ally Carter) are just amazing writers.  The Gallagher Girls Series, the series I talked about earlier, will be releasing a 6th book sometime this year or next. Am I doing it again?  Am I talking about something you know nothing about?  Now, to get you caught up, I'm going to tell you a bit about the first book in the Gallagher Girls series, I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You.

Long time no see!  Well lets see...  I saw something today that I love!  Want to hear it?
"We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled.  The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out."  Don't you think of writing when you read this?
Have you ever thought of yourself as a nerd?  I know an abrupt topic out of talking about a wonderful topic, but do you?
We're all nerds.  The ones who call themselves nerds are the ones who love the feeling of knowing who you are.  Kids hate school.  I can't say I like school, but at least I can say I enjoy the thought process.  The feeling of having to think.  It's not an easy road, so you might as well enjoy it!

I'm going to try to write a short kids story sometime in may and I came up with a few ideas: "The Snowbow", "The Deer in the Hat", and "Buddy and Asia".  Feedback on if the names sound interesting?

Well no luck.  Trying Publish America, but I'm not sure.  They want to see a submission.  Need to finish my book first!  15 pages and about a million more...

Wow, I really didn't think it would be that hard to find a way to publish my book, but boy was I wrong.  I've been to five places and they all are to complicated.  I may have found one called Booktango, it just does ebooks, but at this point I think that's great.
